Offensive du Maroc au Sahara Occidental :

Guerguerat est un territoire frontalier du mur dressé par le Maroc en 1980, et fait partie du Sahara Occidental, dernière colonie non autonome d’Afrique selon l’ONU, occupée illégalement depuis plus de 40 ans par le Maroc. La zone tampon de Guerguerat est aujourd’hui sous contrôle des Nations Unies, et la présence dans cette zone de forces armées est en violation totale des accords.

Mais la colonisation et l’occupation marocaine continuent, la voracité de sa monarchie corrompue s’accroît, et c’est sous les yeux ouverts de la communauté internationale, avec l’aval de la France, que le Maroc lance maintenant une nouvelle offensive contre le peuple sahraoui. Des centaines de forces de sécurité et gendarmes marocains s’avancent vers Guerguerat, en direction de civils sahraouis manifestant pacifiquement depuis quelques semaines. Cet acte illégal, violant ainsi les résolutions de l’ONU et la loi internationale, a eu pour effet de briser le cessez-le-feu avec le Front Polisario, les poussant à reprendre les armes, après des années de tentative de lutte pacifique.

Lors du dernier Forum International des Jeunes en Solidarité avec le Sahara Occidental de mars dernier, le Front Polisario ainsi que l’UJSARIO avaient encore une fois lancé un appel à une réaction de la communauté internationale en faveur du Sahara Occidental et à l’application des résolutions des Nations Unis.

L’échec et le manque de volonté politique de la MINURSO (mission des Nations Unis présente au Sahara Occidental depuis 29 ans pour l’organisation du référendum) sont flagrants. Ce témoin aveugle et muet des violations des lois internationales doit maintenant assumer ses missions et mettre un terme à cette offensive.

Le gouvernement Français, encore aujourd’hui le premier allié et soutien du régime marocain, profitant de l’exploitation des ressources naturelles du Sahara Occidental, doit cesser immédiatement son soutien au régime marocain et doit se positionner fermement contre l’offensive marocaine.

Le gouvernement d’Emmanuel Macron a l’odieuse indécence de se présenter en tant que défenseur du droit international alors qu’il n’intervient pas pour son application ici et maintenant, pour la défense du Sahara Occidental, à l’heure où des crimes contre les droits humains sont perpétrés dans les territoires occupés tels que Laayoun.

Le Mouvement Jeunes Communistes de France apporte son soutien total à nos camarades de l’UJSARIO et du Front Polisario dans leur lutte pour l’autonomie, la liberté, le respect de leurs droits et la revendication légitime de l’organisation du référendum pour l’autodétermination du Sahara Occidental.

Guerguerat is a border territory from the wall erected by Morocco in 1980, and is part of Western Sahara, last colony in Africa according to the United Nations, and illegally occupied for more than 40 years by Morocco. This buffer zone of Guergueray is under control of the United Nations, and the presence of armed forces there is in violation of all agreements.

But the colonisation and the occupation of Morocco goes on, the voracity and greed of it’s corrupted monarchy still grows, and it’s under the open eyes of the international community, with the approval of France, that morocco is now launching a new offensive against the Sahraoui people. Hundreds of security forces and gendarmery are advancing toward Guerguerat and the sahraouis civilians who are peacefully demonstrating there for the past weeks. This Illegal Act, violating all the UN resolutions and the international law, also broke the ceasefire with the Polisario Front, forcing them to take arms again after years of pacific struggle.  

During the last International Forum in Solidarity with the Youth of Western Sahara, last march, the Polisario Front and the UJSARIO asked once again the international community to react for the Western Sahara and for the enforcement of the UN resolutions.

The failure and lack of political will of MINURSO, the UN mission created to organize the self determination referendum in Western Sahara for 29 years, is blatant. This witness, blind and mute to the violations of the international law, needs to assume it’s missions and put an end to this offensive.

French Government, still first and utmost support of the moroccan regime, taking advantage of the exploitation of natural resources in Western Sahara, has to immediately cease all support to this regime and stand firmly against this illegal offensive.

The government of Emmanuel Macron has the despicable indecency to present himself as a defender of the international law, whereas he doesn’t intervene for it’s application here and now, in the defense of Western Sahara, at a time where crimes against human rights are committed in the occupied territories, as it is the case in Laayoun.

The MJCF declares his total support to our comrades of UJSARIO and of the Polisario Front in their struggle for independence, freedom, respect of their rights and the legitimate claim of a self determination referendum in Western Sahara.
